Site IT Technician Austria - Graz
One of my important client is looking for a Site IT Technician Austria for a 6 months + contract in Graz (Austria). The day rate is negotiable.
Please find the description below:
- PC Installation, Office Automation and Support Services
- Support and maintenance of all equipment provided/supported by IT
- Coordinate relocations of computer, network, and telecom equipment as needed
- Break fix of user PCs, desktop printers, monitors, and other PC accessories
- Diagnosis
- Hard drive re-imaging
- Installation and support of standard desktop and IT-approved Software
- Parts exchange
- Routing and escalating hardware/software issues to appropriate groups and external service providers when necessary
- Monitor vendor repair visits
- Manage loaned equipment for meetings, trips, etc. for laptops
- Server Support
- Operationally support scheduled backup tasks and restore tests
- Operationally manage permissions and access rights
- Provide Support of Networked Office Automation Equipment
- MFP copiers and printers
- Troubleshoot network printer problems, monitor repairs, queue management, setup and maintenance
- Supporting site related Automation systems (eg IT supported building infrastructure, badge readers, collectors, etc.)
- Provide support of Smartphones
- Ordering, configuring and handing-over of supported smartphones
- Registering smartphones and smartphone users in global database & reporting tool
- Solving issues of smartphones
- On-Site Support of LAN/WAN Router and PBX service
- Primary manual support (instructions provided by Network or Telecom Team)
- Remote Support
- Work collectively using the Service Desk application with other support team members
- Support users remotely by telephone and available IT screen capturing tools
- Administration/Partner
- Support planned maintenance
- Order IT equipment via approved by procurement systems (SAP or E-ordering) o Manage tickets assigned
- Support tasks relating to new and departing employees o Documentation and inventory
- Inventory - Of IT assets, tracking and updating in-stock equipment
- Updating Software asset database
- Writing Knowledge Base articles
Contractor profile
Education
Technical IT degree is a plus.
Certification
Certifications in project management, ITIL Foundation, Cisco and Microsoft technical certifications are a plus.
Experience
6months + of experience at a helpdesk. Preferred experience with break fix of desktops, laptops, accessories, cell phones, software, and printers. Installation and configuration of Windows 7/10, Office and other software packages. Experience in the manufacturing site will be a plus.
Specific skills
Good communication and presentation skills, Good knowledge of written and spoken English Fluency in written and spoken local language(s) is a plus, Strong customer focus; trustworthy Accuracy with attention to detail
Problem solving
- Need to understand problems and their impact;
- Knows how to use (external) sources for getting solutions for incidents;
- May need to flag issues to colleagues or IT Management.
