My client, a leading multinational manufacturing corporation have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Systems Administrator with proven experience in working with and supporting Windows Server 2008 onwards and to join their team on a long term contract basis.
With extensive server support expertise, you will also be highly skilled in managing critical server outages, doing virtualised backups and monitoring Switches etc.
The successful candidate will:
Perform base IT systems administration including the management of users accounts, monitoring and reporting
Provide technical support for the process control IT systems
Install, upgrade and monitor software and hardware
Principal Accountabilities:
Domain administrator role: User management, system monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution
Providing support to the wider systems team, operations and applications teams to ensure that the IT systems are meeting their key objectives
First line support for windows Servers, workstations, network and associated application
Install and upgrade of software applications and operating systems
Assist team members with deployment of hardware and software refresh project
Ensuring the key control and monitoring activities within the systems team are undertaken within a timely manner
Skills Required:
Solid experience in working with Windows Server 2008 onwards
Good knowledge of Workstation Windows 7/10 Operating Systems
Microsoft Active Directory - user account management
VMware
Enterprise level antivirus management
