SBC/ACME IMS Core SBC/ACME IMS Core Consultant
Our Global client is currently looking to add great value to their multicultural environment which is in need of an experienced SBC/ACME IMS Core Consultant.
The exact location for this position is in Austria, which is also a 6 months Contract with a strong possibility of extension. More information is available on request
Key Responsibilities IMS Engineer:
- prepare, implement, test and document configuration and software changes to IMS network elements and OSS elements
- customer support according to SLA, support in troubleshooting and emergency/critical problems solving, problem report processing, new release installation, on site support during new technology implementation
- proactively perform regular network audits, report deviations and possible faults, correct errors
- fault resolution based on trouble tickets, measurement reports and own observations
- provide emergency support for the network elements according to an on-call schedule
- develop and maintain processes and procedures
- knowledge transfer to co-workers
- HW/SW commissioning, data configuration implementation and interoperability tests
- new projects support
Requirements:
- university degree in Telecommunications or relevant experience
- knowledge and understanding of IMS/WCDMA/GSM/PSTN network principles, R4/R5/IMS network structure and interface understanding
- basic knowledge of SS7, SIP, MAP, CAP, INAP, TCP/IP protocols
- knowledge in HP or SUN or IBM mini-computer and server, UNIX o/s; Oracle or SQL Server and basic SQL command is considered an advantage.
- additional skills in UNIX programming and Core Network experience are an advantage
- travelling within the country or abroad
- fluent in English
