Proteus Europe is searching for a Test Engineer to work with one of our Banking Clients in the Beautiful and vibrant city of Vienna.
Our Client:-
You will be working within an important banking institution that provides wide range of banking services to private and corporate clients across the EU zone. The Group also provides services for instance in the fields of leasing, asset management as well as mergers and acquisitions. A well respected bank in its sector.
Your New role:-
Our client is looking for a skilled Test Engineer/Tester for their Data Warehouse environment who will possess good know how of the testing components. You will be responsible for test case design and the creation of test scenarios. Furthermore, execution of functional and non-functional test cases and the documentation of test results will be part of your role.
Day to day tasks:-
- Execute functional and non-functional test cases
- Evaluate test results and document test results into the defect tracking tool
- Automate test cases as appropriate and feasible
- Support test effort estimations
- Report to the test manager in creating test related reports and test plans
- Suggest enhancements on test process if applicable
- Analyse requirements, specifications, design documentation and other project documentation
- Design functional and non-functional test cases
- Create test data
Your Skills and experience:-
Essential Skills:-
- Very good knowledge in SQL
- Good knowledge on data base systems (eg Teradata, Oracle, Informix)
- Good knowledge HP Quality Center (ex Test Director)
- Good knowledge on the defect life cycle
- Basic knowledge in UNIX
- Basic knowledge in Shell Scripting
Desirable Skills:-
- Test automation in the context of data warehouses
- Teradata data bases
- Datastage
- OD
- Batch interface testing
- Domain knowledge in banking
