Key Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: solid experience in machinery, industrial equipment, automation, or engineering.
- Functional Expertise: Proven track record in turnarounds, restructurings, carve-outs, transformations, and business exits/divestments (M&A).
- Operational Drive: Hands-on leadership in manufacturing and engineering environments with strong commercial acumen.
- Soft Skills: Ability to execute tough decisions while retaining customer and employee trust.
Core Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Operational Stabilization: Implement management routines, performance tracking, issue mitigation, and maintain customer/project continuity during the 6-month mandate.
- Business Diagnostic & Evaluation: Assess market positioning, order backlog, footprint, cost structures, and construct a detailed turnaround business case and roadmap.
- Strategic Options Assessment: Evaluate monetization potential and quantify value/risk across different strategic paths
- Recommendation & Steering Committee Decision: Present a fact-based recommendation by Month 3–4 to align decision-makers on the preferred strategic route.
- Transition & Execution Planning: Build detailed execution roadmaps, manage transition documentation (for ownership handover, restructuring, or wind-down), and deliver a final handover package by Month 6.

Capacity: full-time, 40h/week
Duration: 6 months
Location: regular presence at sites in Germany and Austria required
Languages: Fluent German and English.
