Remote | Contract | Italian & English Speaking
We are currently looking for an experienced QA Tester / Test Engineer to support a technology project within the banking and financial services sector.
The role is suited to someone with a strong background in manual testing, combined with practical experience in test automation, particularly within complex enterprise and financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, prepare and execute structured test cases based on technical and functional specifications
• Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) across complex enterprise environments
• Carry out functional, regression and end to end testing
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI or similar
• Use SQL queries for database validation, investigation and troubleshooting
• Support defect identification, investigation and management through tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or HP ALM
• Support client and User Acceptance Testing activities
• Develop and maintain automated tests, particularly for APIs
• Contribute to the integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Automate database and SQL based validation where required
• Work closely with development, business and project teams to identify and resolve issues
Required Experience
• 3+ years of professional software testing experience
• Previous experience within banking, credit, fintech, payments or financial services
• Strong experience with manual testing and System Integration Testing
• Hands on experience with API testing
• Experience using Postman, SoapUI or similar API testing tools
• Strong SQL experience, ideally with Oracle databases
• Experience with defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or HP ALM
• Strong test case design and execution experience
• Practical experience with test automation, particularly API automation
• Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, Python or JavaScript
• Experience with test automation frameworks
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure Pipelines
• Experience with automated database or SQL based testing is highly desirable
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
