For our partner Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz we are looking for a highly motivated and qualified Senior Mechanical Engineer for Liquid Handling Solutions
Background:
In the Business Area Centralised & Point of Care Solutions we develop Liquid Handling Solutions for IVD products in Rotkreuz. With our interdisciplinary team we support projects and products of all Business Areas in the area of Liquid Handling.
In the role as Senior Hardware Engineer mechanics for Liquid Handling Solutions you are responsible for the development and project management of new Liquid Handling Solutions for IVD products. With your experience in mechanical product development, project management and your ability to integrate components from other disciplines like electronics and fluid dynamics you contribute significantly to the success of the future Centralised & Point of Care Solutions portfolio.
Tasks:
- Technical project lead and Development Engineer Mechanics for Liquid Handling sub-projects
- Project management (planning, execution, monitoring) and development of Liquid Handling solutions from concept to detailed design considering costs, reliability, tolerance calculations, manufacturing aspects and serviceability and following the development process
- Project management of a team of mechanical and fluid dynamics engineers
- Representation of development team in sub-project team
- Define and control interfaces with other system elements
- Work in close collaboration with other disciplines like electronics and fluid dynamics and integrate their concepts and designs
- Translation of functional, performance, regulatory, manufacturing and service requirements into design and review your solutions with the corresponding stakeholders
- Define and maintain 3D CAD models including detailed drawings of individual parts
- Ensuring a smooth design transfer to manufacturing and service
- Ensuring compliance with development process
Must Haves
- Bachelor or Master of Science in mechanical engineering
- Experience in product development from concept to detailed design
- Experience in technical project management
- Good communication skills in English and preferably German to interact with different stakeholders
- Teamplayer
Nice to Haves
- Experience in the development of IVD products
- Experience in the development of liquid handling solutions
- Experience in plastic materials and choice for specific requirements as for example gas tightness
Education:
Bachelor or Master of Science in mechanical engineering
Language:
German and English fluent in written and spoken
