Senior Mechanical Engineer (f/m/d) - pharma / CATIA V5 /development / SolidWorks / GermanProject:
For our customer Roche Diagnostics International AG based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a highly qualified Senior Mechanical Engineer
Background:
The department Molecular Hardware Development (R&D) is looking for a Senior Engineer Mechanics (w/m/d) to strengthen its cross-functional team in the development of novel PCR and Sequencing systems. Join us to contribute to innovative diagnostic solutions to improve patient's lives. This role will be located in Rotkreuz (Switzerland)
The perfect candidate has a professional background in mechanical engineering and minimum 6 years of experience as mechanics developer for handling systems. This comes along with a profound understanding of mechatronic systems and typical design trade-offs. 5 years' experience with CATIA V5 or SolidWorks is required as well as the experience in a highly regulated industry.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Collaboration in a diverse and interdisciplinary team of electronics, mechanics, optics and software experts
* Participation in defining work packages, their effort estimation, planning and implementation within the development team
* Execution of work packages with respect to budget, timeline, scope and quality
* Mechanics development for diagnostic systems (CAD models, drawings, material selection, tolerance chain analysis) based on technical requirements including design verification and maintenance
* Collaboration in technical feasibility studies and technical reviews with regards to functionality, reliability and usability among others
* Self-driven systematic analysis of technical problems and elaboration of solution proposals
* Support of product hand-over from development to production towards launch and beyond
* Co-authoring of relevant documentation based on the development
Must Haves:
* Bachelor or master's degree in mechanical engineering or similar (FH/ETH/university)
* Minimum of 6 years of experience as mechanics developer, preferably for handling systems
* Profound understanding of mechatronic systems and typical design trade-offs
* Minimum of 5 years of experience with CATIA V5 and / or SolidWorks
* Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably in diagnostics
* Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
* Fluent in written and spoken English, German is a Plus
