Our client, a leading digital ecosystem is seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to join their team. As part of this central data team, you will play a vital role in building efficient and seamless customer support processes. By providing the necessary infrastructure and automation, you will enable analysts and data scientists to extract valuable insights from data in a streamlined manner.Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with data scientists, analytics engineers, and data analysts to provide guidance and best practices for efficient data storage, access, consumption, and exposure.
• Create and maintain infrastructure for data scientists and analysts, ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery of insights.
• Deploy machine learning models to automate and optimize customer support processes.
• Work closely with the central platform team to establish infrastructure and tooling standards within the organization.
Requirements:
• Ideally, a degree in computer science, engineering, or comparable work experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, including software development, ML engineering, or data engineering.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and scalability problem-solving.
• Curiosity and interest in batch and streaming data use cases, big data, data governance, data models, and data insights.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with testing strategies, DevOps practices, and collaborative coding (pair/mob programming).
• Experience with technologies such as AWS, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Snowflake, Terraform, Github Actions, and DBT.
