Project focus:
You will be pivotal in ensuring the customer meets their meet strict regulations.
You will design their automation systems for various onboard processes.
Collaborating within their engineering framework, you will oversee design reviews and testing. Ultimately, your efforts lead to the launch.
Key skills and Experience required:
- Create functional descriptions and foundational engineering documents and drawings for the automated systems.
- Establish and update specification documents outlining all automation components and installation procedures.
- Develop comprehensive test and validation plans ensuring adherence to Class regulations and meeting customer specifications through virtual and real-world testing phases (FAT, HAT, SAT).
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely contributions to project milestones.
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor designs for integration into vessel design.
- Formulate and articulate standards and procedures for detailed engineering and commissioning.
- Assist in proposal phases by crafting conceptual designs for system automation.
- Provide technical support and oversee commissioning activities for contracted projects.
- Over 3 years of experience in designing and deploying complex automation systems (PLC/SCADA), with preference given to those with maritime, offshore, or industrial experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in managing complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams and various suppliers and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with working in a model-based system engineering environment (MBSE) following the V-model.
- Hold a Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, Technical Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
