We are partnering with a globally recognised media and entertainment organisation that is looking to engage an experienced Freelance Software Developer with strong expertise across React and React Native to support a number of exciting digital product initiatives.
This is an opportunity to work on high-traffic consumer-facing platforms within a modern engineering environment, collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver scalable and engaging digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using React
- Build and enhance cross-platform mobile applications using React Native
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive, user-centric interfaces
- Work closely with backend engineers and product teams in an agile environment
- Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical improvements
- Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with React.js
- Proven experience developing mobile applications using React Native
- Solid understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience working with REST APIs and modern frontend architecture
- Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API
- Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
- Comfortable working within agile delivery teams
- Strong communication skills in an international environment
Nice to Have
- Experience within media, streaming, or content-driven platforms
- Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Detox, etc.)
- Experience with Expo or native mobile integrations
