Good afternoon,
I am currently looking for an experienced FREELANCE DORA Specialist to support to establish and operationalize an Internal Control System (ICS) aligned with the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) within the IT organization.
This is a hands-on governance & coordination role embedded in IT (not Group Compliance), focusing on tracking, structuring, and ensuring execution of DORA-related controls and processes.

Project:
• Start: (July-September)
• Duration: initial contract for 6 months (high chance of extension)
• Type of employment: Full-time-Freelance
• Location: Remote with flexibility to come on-site for onboarding and important meetings/workshops afterwards
• Project languages: English (Fluent) German (Fluent)
Profile:
  1. Hands-on experience with DORA implementation (ideally insurance / financial services)
  2. Background in IT governance, risk, or internal controls (ICS)
  3. Familiar with asset management, change processes
  4. Work with tools such as ServiceNow to monitor workflows and control execution
  5. Strong organizational & coordination skills
  6. Structured, proactive, and confident in driving topics forward
Tasks:
  1. Establish & coordinate an Internal Control System (ICS) aligned with DORA
  2. Track execution of controls and ensure proper documentation across IT teams
  3. Act as a central coordination point between IT, risk, and stakeholders
  4. Drive structure in asset management, change, and incident processes
  5. Work with ServiceNow to monitor workflows and control activities
  6. Proactively follow up with teams to ensure compliance and delivery
