Business Analyst | Retail Banking & POS Systems | Bucharest Hybrid | Freelance
Location: Bucharest, Romania (Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week)
Contract: Freelance
Rate: Up to €220 per day
Start Date: ASAP
An international consultancy is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a retail banking transformation programme focused on branch and POS systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile project working on business critical retail banking technology initiatives.
The client is looking for someone with strong stakeholder management skills who has delivered projects involving physical retail banking environments and POS systems. Candidates with eCommerce-only experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyse business and functional requirements across retail banking and POS initiatives.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and third-party vendors to define and deliver solutions.
- Document business processes, functional specifications and user stories.
- Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
- Support solution design, gap analysis and process improvements.
- Coordinate UAT activities and assist with defect management.
- Ensure business requirements are fully understood throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support Agile delivery and collaborate with cross functional teams.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst.
- Previous experience within Retail Banking.
- Hands-on experience working with POS (Point of Sale) systems within physical retail or branch environments.
- Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience producing functional documentation, process maps and user stories.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience with payment systems or merchant acquiring.
- Experience delivering branch transformation or retail banking technology projects.
- Previous consultancy experience.
- Two-stage interview process.
- Immediate interview availability preferred.
- Hybrid working, 3 days per week onsite in Bucharest.
- Freelance contract.
- Daily rate up to €220.
- ASAP start.
