Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Batch Operations Support Engineer to support mission-critical production environments. The ideal candidate should have expertise in batch operations, job scheduling, UC4 (Automic), production support, incident management, and troubleshooting while ensuring high availability, SLA compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide L2/L3 support for critical production environments.
Identify and recommend process and infrastructure improvements.
Resolve incidents and production issues within SLA timelines.
Provide 24x7 production support and participate in on-call rotations.
Implement medium to complex change requests and project components.
Collaborate with internal teams and business users to resolve issues.
Perform trend analysis and provide operational reports to management.
Work independently to resolve complex production problems.
Required Skills:
Strong experience in Batch Operations and Production Support.
Hands-on experience with UC4 (Automic) Job Scheduler.
Experience monitoring Batch Job Status, Job Duration, Alerts, and Transaction Reports.
Expertise in handling Batch ABENDS (job failures) and troubleshooting.
Experience with Job Restore, Restart, and Rescheduling as per SOPs.
Knowledge of Batch Job Reporting and Trend Analysis.
Experience maintaining Batch Calendars and Scheduling Jobs.
Ability to monitor, analyze, and escalate production failures.
Strong incident, problem, and change management skills.
Willingness to work in a 24x7 production support environment and rotational shifts.
Soft Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in critical production environments.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
