• Coordinate and provide technical guidance for 3D model engineering activities performed by external engineering partners, ensuring compliance with:
o Project requirements and specifications
o Applicable 3D design requirements and standards
o Project-specific building and layout concepts
o Approved P&IDs and other relevant engineering documentation
• Review 3D models and associated 3D design solutions for technical correctness, constructability, feasibility, accessibility, maintainability, and compliance with Project Accelerate requirements.
• Identify design issues, clashes, inconsistencies, and critical interfaces and support the development of appropriate design solutions.
• Perform structured 3D model reviews, document comments, and provide technical guidance regarding required model and design modifications
• Coordinate required 3D model and design changes with the responsible engineering partners and relevant engineering disciplines, including follow-up and verification of agreed modifications.
• Participate in P&ID walkdowns and design verification activities using the 3D model, identifying discrepancies between P&IDs and the 3D design.
• Support interdisciplinary 3D coordination and design reviews, with particular focus on interfaces between piping, equipment, CSA, HVAC, electrical, and instrumentation installations.
• Where required by the project, perform or coordinate 3D feasibility studies for critical areas, review proposed solutions, and verify their suitability for implementation.
• Support the project in maintaining the required level of 3D model quality and design maturity throughout the engineering phases.
• Escalate significant design conflicts, unresolved interfaces, or deviations from project requirements to the relevant project engineering stakeholders.
