I’m a Senior Backend Developer and Backend Team Lead with a background in building web applications, developing APIs and delivering practical technology solutions for businesses. My core expertise is in PHP, Laravel, Lumen and MySQL, supported by experience with other backend frameworks, database systems and modern development tools. I combine hands-on development with team leadership, mentoring and a focus on code quality and application performance.
Since September 2020, I have worked as Backend Team Lead at ATIS, designing and developing enterprise applications using PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Zend and Slim. My work covers the entire application lifecycle, from understanding requirements and planning technical solutions to implementation, debugging and ongoing improvements. I build reusable code and libraries that support maintainability and make future development more efficient.
API development is a central part of my experience. I design RESTful services from scratch and integrate existing APIs to connect applications and external systems. My technical background also includes SOAP, JSON and working with relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL. I pay close attention to how application logic, database operations and integrations work together to deliver reliable functionality.
Performance and deployment are also important parts of my work. I use Redis and other caching techniques to improve application load times, and I have hands-on experience containerizing web applications with Docker and implementing CI/CD workflows. My familiarity with Linux, Apache and Nginx helps me work across development and hosting environments, investigate technical issues and support application delivery.
Alongside backend development, I have worked with JavaScript technologies including Vue.js, React, Node.js and jQuery. This broader experience helps me collaborate with frontend developers, understand integration requirements and contribute across different parts of a web application when needed. I also work with Git, PHPUnit and test-driven development practices to support structured development and code quality.
As a team lead, I provide training and support to developers, mentor internal teams and encourage consistent development practices. I enjoy sharing knowledge, helping colleagues solve technical challenges and creating reusable solutions that benefit the wider team. I am organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities while keeping business requirements and delivery timelines in view.
Before joining ATIS, I worked as a freelance PHP developer and in backend development roles, building web applications, administration panels, blogs and content management systems. These projects strengthened my practical experience with object-oriented PHP, Laravel and related web technologies.
