BWR 6-1300 MWe (Project SILT)
Classification of safety functions and preparation of I&C functions (according IEC 61226,
ENSI G-01 and others) from level 1 to level 3 for the safety instrumentation and control,
support for the owner project management team. Daily presence on site (BWR 1300 MWe).
Works among others consisted of:

- Setting up functional (target-oriented) concept for the safety I&C in NPP Leibstadt (BWR
1300 MWe) in conjunction with defense in depth concept.
- Definition of all safety process oriented I&C functions (LEFUs) on the basis of the
available documentation (system descriptions, functional diagrams, circuit diagrams) -
Detailed description for each LEFU containing among others:

o Process oriented tasks
o Protection goals
o Interfaces (hardware/systems)
o Current status (how and where is the function realized)
o Reaction times definition (from actuation to protective action initialization)

- Categorization of LEFUs according to ENSI-G01(Swiss regulatory guides) and IEC 61226
- Setting up logical flow diagrams
- Evaluation of variants for replacement/refurbishment of the safety I&C systems for
operation until 2045 plus 10 years in decommissioning phase. Those, containing the
following considered scenarios:

o 1: 1 replacement, replicating of the existing analog technology o Use of new
digital I&C technology where replication is no longer possible o Replacement of
the analogue safety control technology in divisions 11, 21 and 31 with digital
safety I&C and stock keeping of the removed modules for use in divisions 51 and
61 (special emergency heat removal systems)
o Complete replacement of analogue safety I&C with digital safety I&C in all
divisions.

K.A.CARE (Saudi Arabia)
Preparation of set of requirements for nuclear I&C, electrical and transmission systems used
in near future by the Saudi regulatory utilities in order to build first nuclear power plant. Work
based on European utility requirements and Finnish YVL regulatory guides.

Technical Assistance and Consulting Services relating to the LABGENE Project Identification
of potential international suppliers for instrumentation and control and electrical systems,
support in preparation of technical and commercial tender documents for international bidding
process, support in clarification of bidder's questions, technical and commercial evaluation of
bids and support in contract negotiations with selected bidders

Licensing Feasibility Study Review (Safety I&C)
APR-1400 as Olkiluoto 4, Finland. Complete review of I&C systems against possible
nonconformities with YVL (new/old) and EUR requirements.

Project development for the "Evaluation of the Station Black Out scenario in referenced PWR
NPP in Europe" (Primary and secondary feed and bleed, mobile emergency electricity
sources, containment depressurization, emergency measures)

Author of technical specification for class 1E continuous duty three phase squirrel cage
induction motors.
Specification Type: Military nuclear vessels.

Preparation of the bid for owner engineering services for ANGRA 3 NPP in Brazil.

Technical assistance and consulting services for Angra Unit 3 NPP. Independent price
evaluation for medium voltage and high voltage equipment.
(HV motors, step-up transformer, AC/DC Switchgears, GCCB)

Preparation of the bid for pre-feasibility study for construction of the first two nuclear power
plants in Poland with a total capacity of about 6000MWe, each power plant with capacity of
3000 MWe.
