I am a product owner, project manager, and IT strategist with almost 20 years of experience and extensive knowledge from large, complex digital product development, integration- and systems development projects as well as digitalization and transformation programs. I have worked in industries such as consumer goods, media, energy, finance, public sector, retail, and telecom within the areas of product ownership, technical project management, IT strategy, as well as enterprise, solution, and integration architecture.
My genuine interest in pragmatic solutions at the intersection of business and technology paired with my analytical, methodical, and results-oriented approach enable me to find an optimal solution for a given business need or problem. I hold a M.Sc. degree from KTH in Stockholm in computer science and engineering.

Projekthistorie
Vorwerk is an international diversified corporate group headquartered in Wuppertal. The main business is the direct distribution of household appliances (Thermomix and Kobold brands), complemented with financial services (akf-group) and cosmetics (JAFRA).
The goal of the project was to extend the MyKobold app with the user interface for a new vacuum robot, the VR7, developed in parallel with the app. Even though it was not a completely new app, the complete user experience related to the VR7 was built from scratch, using native technology on both iOS and Android.
Pascal took on the role of project manager for the VR7 app development, which eventually evolved into a scrum product owner role with the introduction of agile work practices guided by the SAFe framework. The app development was performed by a team staffed by an external supplier in Poland and Ukraine; while feature development initially seemed rather straight forward, failed usability tests soon showed that a shift towards a design-thinking inspired approach was necessary. He worked closely with the digital product manager and the development team to come up with a new design based on user needs, which was improved and perfected iteratively. Soon thereafter, heavy interdependencies between app, robot software, and cloud development demanded significant coordination efforts, hampered by the very distributed nature of the different teams and stakeholders (US, Canada, Italy, Russia, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, and Switzerland) and the complete restructuring of the delivery organisation. While these difficulties eventually eased up with the introduction of PI plannings, the need for pragmatic solutions and cross-team coordination remained a crucial success factor. The assignment ended after a successful market launch and hand-over to the internal maintenance team.

The Sales Domain Data and Tools Landscape initiative was a global and strategic programme aiming at improving data usage and tools support for the sales teams at Netlight (then roughly 100 employees).
Pascal initiated and led a project aimed at evaluating and potentially replacing or optimising the tool support in the CRM area. Apart from the tooling aspect, the project also included a review of the processes and ways of working in this area to make sure that the new or optimised tool would support and not hinder more effective and innovative ways of working. Outside the CRM scope, Pascal also established an agile and light-weight portfolio management process for all the different initiatives within the sales domain. The project eventually led to the introduction of Salesforce as a new CRM system.

Pascal has been working as a subject matter expert in four technical due Expert diligence (TDD) projects for venture capital clients evaluating whether to acquire a target company or not. The typical project is a two-week analysis of the target company's digital product or state of IT capabilities (or similar/both), leading to a report to be used as a decision basis together with similar analyses of other areas.
