We are looking for a Microsoft BI (SSAS) Solution Architect / Engineer in the area of Zurich:Overall Goal
On the Data Warehouse Application Platform (DWH AP), very large data sets are stored and prepared for evaluation and reporting for the diverse needs of the customers. As an application platform, the Warehouse Application Platform makes data available for over 60 projects from almost all ranges of the bank. An important part of the entire Platform is the Data warehouse Reporting Platform (DRP). The DRP places the technologies and processes as well as the appropriate consulting services for the application development teams to fulfill anytime the requirements of the business divisions regarding best in class Businesses Intelligence (BI) solutions.
Tasks:
- Designing, Engineering and Implementing a large Microsoft SQL Server Analysis infrastructure
- System Design (infrastructure HW / SW, storage, scalability, high availability, monitoring etc.)
- Installation, configuration, customization of vendor core components
- Security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, etc.)
- Process automation (deployment, loading, staging, security provisioning, etc.)
- Integration of peripheral systems (e.g. Active Directory, security provisioning technologies, monitoring systems, etc.)
- Coordination between different teams (different technologies and functional areas, e.g. MS SharePoint, SSRS, etc.)
- Representation of the sector in cross functional teams
Skills / experience:
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (2008 R2)
- Very good knowledge of the Microsoft BI technology stack (SSRS, SSIS, SharePoint BI)
- Very good knowledge and documented experience in designing and implementing large infrastructures
- Good knowledge of the Windows (Server) Platform including security concepts (Kerberos, SSL)
- Good understanding of the Windows Active Directory architecture and functionality
- Good understanding of BI and DWH concepts in general
- Very good oral and written English skills
- German language skills preferable
- Strong team player
- Enterprise organization experience (ideally financial services)
