We are looking for a Programmer Analyst in the area of Basel:Tasks:
The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated team player with a strong understanding of application development specializing in the Eclipse software framework.
As a Field Software Applications Engineer in the Scientific Computing group (NIBR IT/ Engineering), you will work closely with customer process engineers, and scientists to understand the requirements and use cases to automate scientific R&D workflows, data warehouse, data analysis, and data mining processes.
- Play a key role in the development of Web and Knime based software modules to manage advanced analytics, visualization and reporting.
- Develop software to manage R&D workflows and integrate with 3rd party applications (like Excel, Accelrys Pipeline Pilot, Omero and ELN).
- Understand and document customer requirements, use cases and priorities.
- Conduct trainings, demos and interface with users across the organization to drive adoption of product features while providing technical support.
- Interact with remote teams, resolve issues and escalations.
- Document and develop functional, design, and unit test specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self motivated results oriented person with a delivery focus
