Project context:
The target of the VPC Exit project is to migrate all applications and services out of the Virtual Private Cloud into the strategic hosting environment, Microsoft Azure. Wherever possible, decommissioning of an application should always be considered with priority to ensure maximum cost saving. Only where technically not feasible, an alternative strategic agreed hosting platform should be considered as a hosting environment.
After the project, no assets will be left in the Virtual Private Cloud, having achieved a 100% independence. For this project and in context of the other Roadmap projects in the department "User and Cloud Platforms (UCP)" it is required to establish a consistent reporting framework.
The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are independently performed by the external consultant:
- Develop IT Roadmap status reporting including milestone dates, risks, issues, dependencies & budget by using Power BI or Tableau dashboards as tools.
- Identify planning and reporting inconsistencies, provide consultancy to project managers according to findings
- Provide consultancy on how to improve cross collaboration between the Support Functions (HR, IT, Contract Management) and Project Managers by retrieving information from and stakeholders involved at each stage
- Create and provide project related reporting (milestone dates, risks, issues, dependencies & budget) into official Project Governance Process and steering committees up to and including senior leadership roles.
Tools to be used are Power Point and Power BI.
- Evaluate whether project management standards, methods & processes are being applied by using the Project Management process documentation as input.
- Provide consultancy on the definition of new processes or adjustment of existing processes after retrieving input from related functions on the current process (see previous topic).
- Provide consultancy for project managers to adapt developed processes and methods
- Provide consulting on introduction of new tools and technologies for reporting within the unit.
- Develop transparent reporting on a monthly basis for all projects within the UCP roadmap to provide clear visibility of all aspects of finance, project status, and schedule.
