Technical Security Architect - 6-months - £600 Outside - Remote

Parity Group Plc are excited to be partnered with a renowned public sector client of ours, who requires an experienced Technical Security Architect to join their team on an interim basis for a period of 6-months. The role is remote working for the foreseeable, however, travel to Edinburgh may be required in the future.

Requirement:

  • Create and gain consensus for an ISO 27001-based standards framework for the IT Security and wider IT Technology areas, including risk management
  • A framework to support the 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS)
  • Deploy a Vulnerability Management service to support the business and ISMS
  • Enhance the Network Access Control platform to support increased remote working
  • Deliver an endpoint detection & response (EDR) toolset for all client platforms
  • Migration of the user estate to Azure-based authentication, including Azure MFA
  • Integration of core business applications into a single sign-on
  • Providing support for senior stakeholder engagements
  • Providing technical leadership for both internal and external audit activities
  • Delivery of a number of core security assurance processes as required by the organisation
  • Maturation of the BAU IT Security function

Essential Criteria:

  • MSc in Information Security (or equivalent experience)
  • Technically leading a high-performing, cross-functional team
  • Technical leadership of a Security team in a regulated environment
  • Collaborative engagement with software and platform teams to gain consensus on appropriate security improvements
  • Creation of Standards and Patterns
  • Using written, verbal, and visual communication to explain complex security topics concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Working in Agile delivery models and within a highly collaborative agile culture with a strong delivery focus
  • CISSP
  • Certified Ethical Hacker
  • Programming experience using C, C++, Python, Java, BASH, Powershell etc.
  • Knowledge of secure coding and code audit strategies

Hands-on technical understanding of:

o Windows

o Linux

o Networking

o Firewalls

o Network Access Control

o Vulnerability Management

o Web Application Firewalls

o Privileged Access Management solutions

o Endpoint Detection and Response solutions
