ODI Developer - Remote - Oracle/Data/ETL
We are looking for an ODI Developer, specialised in Oracle and data integration, for a European Agency in Amsterdam.
This is a remote opportunity.
Your profile:
- A bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science or related.
- 8 years of experience in a similar role.
- BCS, TOGAF, SWEBOK or other equivalent and valid certificates.
- Good technical knowledge of implementing data integration flows and batch processes using ODI and related Oracle technologies.
- Relevant professional expertise, with eg Data Warehouse Architecture, ETL Architecture, OBIEE and ODI are desirable.
- Good technical knowledge of implementing reporting solutions on transactional systems.
- Experience with iterative and waterfall software development.
- Use of ODI for data integration and data transformation.
- Interoperate with third systems through REST API.
- Experience of the full development life cycle of complex large scale and multi-user applications.
- A strong technical background, specifically the delivery of complex software systems.
- Able to liaise with different stakeholders (eg business users, management and development teams) to understand requirements and communicate key technical issues appropriate for the audience.
- Fluent in English (B2 level minimum).
Your role:
- Design solutions and influence the business requirements, functional and non- functional, so that solutions economically meet these requirements and implement the client's IT strategy.
- Streamline business processes, functions, procedures and workflows and apply a consistent implementation approach.
- Verifies feasibility in the development of new business processes and systems.
- Ensures, that technical solutions, procedures and models for solution design and development are up-to-date and comply with standards.
- Configures software and tests platform-specific versions of one or more software products.
- Reports the outcome of testing and identifies potential improvements to the process and to the software products according to agreed designs/requirements.
- Production of the relevant technical documentation, such as system designs, class designs and documentation for the support team.
- Tuning transactional and dimensional reports.
