Flint is looking for a Network Consulting Engineer in charge of the backbone operational support on-site in Milan
Main responsibilities:
- Provide onsite (Min 80%) technical support at customer premises.
- Act as a lead engineer for TAC in order to shorten resolution time during business critical situations and expedite case resolution using knowledge of customer environment.
- Troubleshooting of complex network problems and escalation management during critical issues
- Extensive knowledge of Cisco IP & ISP related products
- Periodic reviews with Cisco and customer stakeholders to discuss about deliverables and operational activities.
- Produce technical advice documents: software recommendation, vulnerabilities review, best-practices and method of procedures.
Specific Technical Skills:
- Fair knowledge of Cisco IOS, Cisco IOS XR, Cisco IOS XE, Cisco NX-OS
- Fair knowledge of routing protocols: RIPv2, ISIS, OSPF, EIGRP, PIM, IGMP, BGP, MP-BGP.
- Fair knowledge of advanced networking features: NAT, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, L2VPN, L3VPN, DMVPN, RSVP-TE, MPLS TE, QoS
- Hands-on experience of Cisco products: ASR900, ASR 9000, 12000, ASR1000, Catalyst 6500, 7600, NCS5000, NCS 5500
- English professional proficiency

- Service Management processes understanding (Incident, Problem management)
- Automation and programming skills (Python, SQL, Perl, TCL/tk)

- Acts as a focal point for most complex network problem resolution
- Field level support (smart hands) during reactive actions performed as part of incident management
- Provide assistance for analysing proposed changes and reviewing associated risk
