Profile and Requirements
Senior Network Engineer:
? Performs analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems
? Performs analysis of highly complex network designs.
? Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly complex problems and compatibility issues.
? Introduces new ways of working
? Demonstration of Cisco products and solutions to customers
? Ability to sell / present to customers the value of Advanced Services
? Collaborates proactively with other NCE’s to ensure optimal use of resources to meet customer needs.
? Contribute to customers knowledge through the delivery of Knowledge Transfer Sessions
Proactive Service & Support:
? Works extensively with client and Cisco resources on developing a strategy and the deployment of most complex services and required Network Support Systems
? Assists customer with deployment and strategy of highly complex tools and related Network Management Systems
? Leads design workshop
Reactive Service & Support:
? Assures that the most complex customer network problems across a broad range of technologies are properly and quickly resolved.
? Solves complex, cross-functional issues that cross many technologies. Applies good analytic process to any issue to help bring to resolution.
? Acts as a focal point for most complex network problem resolution
Technical Skills:
? Deep technical knowledge with Cisco Data Center technologies, Nexus platform
? Solid Routing and Switching knowledge
? Familiar with Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Deployment, Functionality, Troubleshooting
? Solves complex, cross-functional issues that cross many technologies. Applies good analytic process to any issue to help bring to resolution.
? Acts as a focal point for most complex network problem resolution
Senior Network Enginer Cisco Unified Computing System
? UCS B-Series Server (including all components of a UCS B-Series System)
? Strong knowledge about UCS B-Series Server Infrastructure (how UCS components work with each other, data path within the UCS)
? UCS C-Series Server
? Deployment of UCS
? Logical configuration of UCS-B series (service profiles for e.g. VMware ESXi, Linux and Windows)
? UCS B-Series Upgrade Procedure, Firmware management
? VMware vCenter/ESXi knowledge (including software switching, network related configuration on vCenter/ESXi, VSS, VDS)
? General Cisco routing & switching knowledge with focus on Cisco DC technologies (CCNP DC level)
? Typically around 5+ years experience in network consulting environment
? Very Strong Consulting and communication skills
? Customer focus
? Consultancy and Troubleshooting skills
? Relevant certifications are a plus: e.g. CCIE Lab Data Center and/or Routing & Switching, CCNP (DC and/or Routing & Switching)
