Analysis Function Strategic Planner - 4 month initial contract - London
This is an exciting opportunity to support the Head of the Analysis Function Central Team, responsible for working in partnership with Heads of Professions and Departmental Directors of Analysis to champion and promote the development of the Analysis Function ensuring widespread engagement across government, taking a proactive and innovative approach. A key deliverable for the team in the next few months is to shape the development of an ambitious Spending Review bid for the Analysis Function to develop capability of analysts in government and develop an Analysis Function delivery arm to support analytical priorities across government.
We are looking for a project delivery professional to develop and draft the Business Case for investment in the Analysis Function in the next Spending Review, with input from specialists and stakeholders from across the analytical community in government.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and draft the outline business case for future funding
- Identify and manage stakeholder relationships and senior level support, to agree scope and objectives, addressing issues with Senior Stakeholders ensuring they are fully engaged and able to support the case
- Develop the budget profile and mechanisms to track delivery
- Identify Business Case benefits and outcomes, developing an appropriate benefits realisation strategy
- Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigating actions and escalate appropriately
- Support effective decision making - providing reporting and engagement mechanisms to enable progress to be tracked against plan
- Coordinate the creation of the Analysis Function Plan
- Create a refreshed Analysis Function Strategy
