A financial services organisation in the heart of Austria's capital Vienna is looking for Freelance Developer specialising in PL/1 to undertake a digital transformation of various PL/1 Legacy systems into Java.
Day to day responsibilities as a PL/1 Developer:
- Maintaining as well as development using PL/1, Java and C;
- Creating technical for individual requirements;
- Consulting with and give support to various stakeholders of implementation and transformation of the software;
Skills required as a PL/1 Developer:
- Strong PL/1 and Java experience. Ideally a mimum of 3 years experience;
- A proven track record of contribute the change from PL/1 to Java;
- RDBS experience;
- Knowledge of Linux and/or zOS;
- Basic knowledge of Perl and Shell Scripting;
- English speaking (C1);
- Maintainence using Linux and/or Mainframe;
- University degree educated, ideally in Informatics. A qualification within software development such as PL/1, Cobol, JAVA or C) will also be acceptable;
Desired skills and experience required as a PL/1 Developer:
- German speaking skills are of advantage;
