Network Engineer - Cisco - F5 - ASA - Nexus - Contract - Valencia
Square One are looking for a Network Engineer to come on board for an initial 6 month contract in Valencia.
This is an initial 6 month contract, paying market rates.
Role:
The resource is required to provide Networking and Firewall Administration Support from the ICC offices in Valencia
Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Participate in the team resolving the network and security related incidents and internal and external service requests, including problem investigations, troubleshooting and contact with vendors
* Assist other teams when necessary for new services implementation, risk assessment and security breach counter measures
* Configure and support the Network Infrastructure based on Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Switches and ISR/ASR Routers
* Support and administer Checkpoint Firewalls
* Support and administer F5 Application Delivery Controllers
* Support and administer Cisco ASA/Firepower Firewalls and VPN Gateways
* Audit and review Firewall rule bases and logs and clean-up process of obsolete or no hits rules
* Support and administer Cisco Wireless Controllers
* Review network equipment logs and alerts, and perform any corrective actions
* Monitor network usage and evaluate the performance of the network infrastructure
* Prepare and update technical documentation and configuration templates where needed
* Provide telephone "stand-by" support outside business hours when required.
Functional and Technical Skills:
* Cisco R&S installation, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting
* Checkpoint Firewall administration - good understanding of networking protocols and standards and Security best practices
* Good understanding of F5 Application Delivery Controllers, Load Balancing and Proxy technologies
* VPN secure IPSEC or GRE Tunnels configuration and troubleshooting skills
* Sound knowledge of TCP/IP Networking and protocols
Experience:
* Extensive hands-on experience managing and configuring Cisco devices
* Extensive experience administering Checkpoint Firewalls
* Extensive experience administering F5 ADC's

* Excellent English
