A global telecommunications consultancy are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer to work on site with an end client based in Amsterdam. This role is a 6 month contract paying c£300 per day. (Expenses for further afield European applicants can be covered).
You will be based within the Data Centre Network Department and will be expected lead and contribute into the design and delivery of network projects supporting IT data centres
Main responsibilities:
- Build a new network across the Client's footprint including additional capacity to support growth and product roadmap
- Build a new data centre space
- Support with capacity implementation and data centre projects
- Contribute to mergers and acquisitions process, completing technical assessments of networks
- Produce detailed network layouts and data centre design
- Create network LLD based on HLD and Connectivity Matrix.
- Produce network engineering solutions and designs, bills of material, implementation & migration plans and documents
- Complete network implementations and migrations
Experience required:
- 10 years of experience in IP Networking and service providers
- ISP Data centers Design - IP Networks, Security and Application Delivery Solutions
- Cisco and Nexus platforms
- Checkpoint Firewalls including Management Infrastructure as well as Firewall Enforcement Points
- Remote Access Solutions
- Radware and F5 Application Delivery Controller
- Unix Systems and Scripting languages
