Job Details

Release management comprises the process that is responsible for planning, scheduling and controlling releases in the test and production environments.
In addition, it is part of the release and deployment management process, i.e. as part of the UIP program, Release Management monitors the deployments on the various environments.
To strengthen our Release Management Team in Vienna, we are looking for a

Senior Release, Deployment Manager - Application Release Automation (m/f)

Tasks
- Concept development for the use of "Application Release Automation" topics for deployment process
- Planning, organization and technical execution of the deployment of software releases on test and production environment
- Creation from requirement to concept Development for process of packaging and deployment of an application or update over the entire release lifecycle
- Analysis and processing of faults occurring during deployments
- Controlling and coordinating the deployment process for rapid troubleshooting
- Continuous improvement of deployment processes and technology and their documentation
- Definition, establishment and further development of release management standards as well as principles and procedures
- Support of operational release management
- Checking the delivery items (development scope and troubleshooting) on the basis of release notes
- Coordination, control and tracking of the completion of software installations with project managers

Qualifications
- We expect you to have completed a degree (Uni/FH) with a focus on computer science, electrical engineering, technical physics or a related subject or equivalent skills acquired through experience.
- IT experience : SW development, Application Release Automation Tool (ARA Tool) and Automation
- Experience as Deployment Planner/Manager
- Several years of experience in the entire software development process
- 4+ years professional experience in IT project management / deployment management, ideally in major projects in the IT and/or insurance industry
- Project management certification advantageous
- Good user skills in the MS Office package as well as in planning/project management tools and ideally JIRA/Confluence
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- Good communication skills and confident appearance
- You have a basic technical understanding and know which phases a software product goes through.
