My banking client in Vienna is currently seeking a Functional Application Manager to support them with their Operational Data Store.
Candidates must have good core banking knowledge ideally in the areas of accounts and loans. You will also be expected to demonstrate strong SQL skills which will be used for reporting purposes in conjunction with Cognos. The official business language of the bank is English but fluent German language skills will be required for this position. Another crucial part of the role will be job scheduling and candidates should have experience in this area.
Your tasks:
- Operational assurance of the ongoing operation of our customer or Account systems or an operational data store (ODS)
- Contact person for all aspects of the responsible applications included
- Conception and implementation of those commissioned by the department wide developments
- Creation of reports as well as ad-hoc evaluations by means of SQL
- Interface between departments and IT
- Partial participation in innovations as Requirements Engineer
Your qualification:
- Experience in the banking environment
- Know-how in the area of core banking systems
- Databases and Query Languages (especially SQL)
- Job Scheduling
- Customer orientation, communication skills and team spirit
- Mandatory German language skills
