Optimus has partnered with an exciting software startup who are looking to bring on a DevOps Engineer for a 12 month contract within their Frankfurt office as they have a number of projects in the pipeline for 2020.They develop a complex software application, that will act as a cheaper alternative to mainstream products that can only be afforded by major institutions.
They are very engineering focused and have an international array of talented people on board.
Hourly rate between €110 - €140.
Tasks:
- Design and implementation of robust infrastructure solutions in the cloud
- Further development of the CI infrastructure
- Design and implementation of local development environments and mixed environments for developers, QA and product management
- Automated test environment for non-functional requirements
- Active participation in discussions on system architecture and Cloud Operations
- Cross-training for other team members, code reviews and peer Programming
Desired Skills and Experience:
- University degree in computer science or a comparable degree
- At least 5 years' experience as a DevOps Engineer including software development
- Experience in creation and / or development of cloud-based applications
- Experience with cloud solutions like Amazon AWS, Azure, OpenStack, vCloud
- Experience with cloud automation tools (cloud formation, Docker swarm, Terraform, AWS / Azure / AppEngine SDK
- Safe Handling System Configuration tools like Puppet, Chef or ansible
- Expertise in LinuxOS and network technology
- Belief in the principles and operation of a DevOps
