Beschreibung

Primary Tasks and responsibilities:
- Management and optimization of existing Linux server landscape
- 2nd and 3rd level support (troubleshooting, performance tuning, incident and change management) of Linux Servers. Prepare and execute planned maintenance/upgrades (security patching, operating system and tool upgrades, ...).
- Continues improvement, specially by implementing automation with puppet and rundeck.
- Comply Audit/Security/Compliance requirements to the existing Linux landscape
- OS Preparation and Development for application environments (e.g. Oracle, SAP)
- Support customer to develop individual solutions
- Scoping of new projects and project support (local and global)
- Cloud migration support

Methodology / certification requirements:
- RedHat Advanced Linux
- CIS Compliance
- Puppet
- Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
- Additional certification is a plus

Technical requirements 1:
- In depth technology knowledge of LINUX (preferable RedHat) Extensive experiences with RUNDECK and PUPPET (config management and automation)
- Linux architecture knowhow, able to create versions (e.g. migration scenarios).

Technical requirements 2:
- In depth Security knowledge (CIS Compliance, encryption in transit/in rest, Bastion enabling, DMZ, secure protocols)
- Performance issues, performance Monitoring, planning and tuning in complex Environments.
- In depth technology knowledge of LDAP (Oracle LDAP, OpenLDAP)
- Familiar with vcenter
- General understanding of SAP and ORACLE on LINUX
- Scripting language skills (Python or Perl, Shell)
- Technical writing skills to provide proper documentation according to internal and external regulations
- Knowledge auf Multipath and SAN Zoning is a plus

Linux Red Hat (RHEL) ++++ (excellent), > 4 yrs.
LDAP +++ (good), 2-4 yrs.
Puppet +++ (good), 2-4 yrs.
VMware vCenter +++ (good), 2-4 yrs.
