For our fast moving consumer goods client we are currently looking for System Engineer / architect

End: 01.09.20
Location: Düsseldorf / Remote
Language: English; German is nice-to-have

Project background:
The project has the purpose to move the current Jira- and Confluence-Installations, which have been set-up in quick pace without implementation of all technical means required for (real) productive operations, into a state, which can be operated professionally (by external staff).
This comprises of the following top-level activities ...
1) improvements to the environments currently run in-house
2) moving these applications to a professional service provider and / or managed cloud-services
3) review and optimization of services delivered by the external provider
4) consultancy- and customization of the applications for end-users

Tasks:
- Design and implementation of improvements to the (Ansible-based) infrastructure automation
- Planning, announcement and execution of upgrades of the applications and depended
infrastructure
- Design and implementation of improvements to the system-architecture
- Design of and consultancy with regard to the setup of the mid- and long-term operations and
hosting of the application.
- Consultancy with application-users on best practices of using the applications
- Design and implementation of customization according to application-user s needs
- Caring for License renewals, including internal and external processing
- Check and validation of Provider reports and results, such as:
o License utilization reports
o Backup volume and integrity check reports
o Resource utilization reports in the infrastructure

Skills
- Experience as system Architect
- Strong knowledge with distributed software systems
- Very good knowledge with authentication (e.g. SAML)
- Knowledge with HTTP
- Experience weith System Administration
- Good know-how in infrastructure and Cloud environments
- Experienced with Automation
- Experience with Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with design and implementation of improvements to sysetm architecture
- Experience with Linux
- Experience in Licence management

N2H:
