For our telecommunication client we are looking for a STB (Set-Top-Boxes) Engineer (m/ w/ d)Start: 01.06.2019
End: 30.09.2019
Language: English, German (nice to have)
Location: Kerpen or Stuttgart
Volume: Fulltime (4+1)
Tasks
- Technical Lead on running STB (SW) deployments (project interface, approval of test plans and
reports)
- Review of Solution Designs of suppliers and Support at Root Cause Analyse of STB issues
- Support for Entertainment and Access Engineering projects with STB expertise
- Evalutation of Impacts on STB behavior based on technical specifications
- Project Interface, assessment of regression risks
- Review of Test Plans and Test Reports
- Preparation of the test and test environment requirements
Skills:
- Knowledge about Cable Network STB Hardware and Software
- Experience in Cable Network STB deployment projects (requirements, testing, network integration,
rollout, issue prioritization, risk management)
- Experience in operation of Cable Network STBs (3rd level support, RCA, vendor management)
- Basic project management skills
- Knowledge about software developement and testing techniques and processes
- DVB, MPEG, Docsis, IP, Access Networks
- Experience in working in international teams, experience in managing vendors and other 3rd party
suppliers
- ISTQB
- Experience in assessing sw regression risks and according prioritization of related certification tests
- fluent English required, German language skills appreciated
