Java Platform Engineer wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.Your experience/skills:
- Background of several years in Software Engineering and Software Lifecycle Management with expert knowledge of the Java technology, Java application servers, SpringBoot/SpringCloud and Java Security
- Proficient in engineering of the Java Platform using JBoss, SpringBoot and Kubernetes as well as of the development, build and deployment infrastructure including Eclipse, OpenJDK, Maven, Bitbucket and Nexus
- Knowhow of build and environment automation with Jenkins and Octopus in addition to the implementation of new cloud based development on Azure
- Experience in supporting the operation of the Java platform, development, build and deployment infrastructure as well as in planning lifecycle and maintenance of multiple platforms and automation tools infrastructure
- University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practice
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, good understanding of German
Your tasks:
- Participating in the Java Platform Engineering team and taking responsibility for engineering and operation of the global Java application platform
- Cooperating with central infrastructure, security and software architecture, system engineering, international development teams as well as with a small platform operation team
- Improving performance and efficiency of our service continuously
- Solving challenges with new cloud, container and micro service technologies
- Providing technical support of development teams and quality assurance of applications release deliverables
