Location: fully remote (On-boarding in Vienna, Austria for 5 to 10 Days)
Language: English (German optional)
As a DevOps you will take over important tasks along the entire implementation process and contribute significantly to the setup and ongoing optimisation of a CI/CD Chain.
You will act as a link between software development and operational tasks in a dedicated DevOps or agile software development team.
You can expect diverse and varied areas of responsibility such as:
- Design and development of tools for the optimisation and automation of software development processes (build pipeline, etc..)
- Design, development, maintenance and administration of systems and software in a combination of development and IT operations in an agile as well as agile software development environment
- Design, development and maintenance of Elastic Search Clusters and applications using the Elastic Stack
- Proactively support developers/testers in improving stability, monitoring with developement of software and infrastructure (cloud&on-premise, Kubernetes/Docker)
- Configuration and configuration management, deployment optimisation
- Analysis of defects and incidents along various deployment stages incl. production
- Coordination of cross-team analysis and troubleshooting activities in the context of system and service-impacted incidents in the production environment
- Participation in the selection of technologies used in SW development and feasibility tests, etc.
Requirements:
- You have 3+ years of task-specific practical experience in DevOps
- You bring technical understanding and analytic skills (problem/fault analysis and troubleshooting)
- You have knowledge of programming (e.g. Java, JavaScript, NodeJS)
- You have knowledge of common tools (e.g. Jira/Confluence, Kibana/Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic Search, Git, Jenkins)
- You have experience/practical knowledge with some of the following technologies or tool stacks as possible:
Azure, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Bamboo, OpenID, networking, Linux (up to kernel level), Kubernetes, Docker, Container-D, (network/IT) security, Java, Python, Go, EFK Stack: ElasticSearch + FluentD + Kibana.
- You are ideally familiar with highly scalable on premise and public cloud solutions and can optionally also show experience with migration of workloads to cloud or hybrid approaches.
- You have practical experience with agile process models in software development.
- You have a pronounced hands-on mentality.
