Java FX Algo/Front Office Developer - Investment Banking
Strong Server Side Java developer with experience of multi-threaded programming, low latency concepts, performance tuning, data structures, memory management. Ideally with a track record of working in a Front Office environment (ideally in listed derivatives, FX or algo trading). However candidates with extremely strong Java Server Side technical skills will also be considered.
Other desirable skills:-
- Experience with smart order routing, trading, market data systems.
- Java Server Side development is key skill; C++ experience beneficial.
- Familiarity with FIX order flow.
Based in London and reporting to the head of algo trading development, this role involves sitting on the trading floor working with quants and traders as part of a small team to develop and maintain a suite of cross-asset algorithmic trading strategies. Specifically the Java FX Algo technical stack is to be rolled out to other business areas, Listed derivatives and Commodities. This is a exciting greenfield development as it is an opportunity to take the existing Java stack and bespoke it for the new business areas.
Long term project - 6 month rolling contract. Currently WFH, but usually sits on the trading floor with the Algo traders.
