Client is looking for an experienced Solution Architect for an Architecture & IT Transformation Program for one of our Telecom clients.
This transformation will use Agile principles as a way to improve our performance and better serve the needs of our client’s end-customers. By moving to Agile, we are creating an even more responsive, customer-centric IT organization, enabling delivery products & services more efficiently to market.
As a Solution Architect, you will:
• Design solution roadmaps.
• Execute architecture governance and design respecting architectural guidelines and strategies
• Initial effort estimation and functional placement
• Define and create high-level interface specifications
• Analyse risks during application development
• Architectural decisions & guidance (e.g. make or buy)
• Define target architecture
• Define solution architecture for specific projects
• Create Solution Architecture Documents
• Support solution workshops (split into discussion of requirements & and questions regarding architecture)
• Provide feedback on solution documents
• Creation & review of the technical part of a SOW (Statement of Work)
• Leading Proof of concepts (POCs) and new Innovation topics
• Architect and deploy secure and robust systems in cloud environments
• Provide implementation guidance based on best practices to the organization
• Design cloud adoption plans, application design and deployment mechanisms
• Design and deploy dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, resilient and reliable systems
• Select appropriate cost efficient cloud services to design and deploy systems based on given requirements
• Migrate complex, multi-tier applications in cloud environments
• Design and deploy enterprise-wide scalable operations
• Implement cost-control strategies
• Recommend best practices for building secure and reliable applications in cloud environments
• Setup and/or enhance architecture guidelines in terms of building micro service architectures, usage of cloud services etc. (computing capacity, storage, load balancer, database services, security policies etc.)
• Liaise with architects from cloud providers to learn and apply new cloud services, new ways for cost optimisation and if required to estimate the costs for cloud services
What we are looking for / Your Profile:
• Overall around 20 years of work experience
• 5-10 years proven track record of designing Solutions and Enterprise IT architectures.
• Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• Knowledge about Telecom domain with deep know-how about CRM systems, Billing systems, Order Management systems, Product Catalog systems and other Telecom BSS Applications. Understanding about Prepaid, Postpaid and Enterprise customers of a Telecom Operator.
• Through your professional experience you're familiar with all tools for modeling system architectures (e.g. with Visio, EA etc) and you've already come into contact with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF
• Other Technical skills:
o Process modelling tools and best practices
o Project management tools and best practices
o Data modellingf
o Systems analysis and design
• Your excellent communication skills make it easy for you to work in a team
• Innovation-oriented and analytically talented are skills that distinguish you
• A personality and the capabilities to
• Master Certification Level- optimally function within an Agile environment.
o Scrum 1 (CSM, PSM-1) will be beneficial.
o Scrum Product Owner Certification will be beneficial.
o Experience in agile practices using Scrum, Kanban.
o Knowledge of Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe, Spotify, LeSS etc.). Any scaled agile certification will be beneficial.
• Experience in guiding and realising change.
• Sound experience in building strategic roadmaps.
• Expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams (BizDevOps and DevOps).
• Proven experience in strategic projects with high impact.
• You bring good English language skills with you. Knowledge of German will be beneficial.
