Digital Biomarker Data Processing Solutions Architect in Basel

Background:
Roche's Pharma Research and Early Development Informatics team is the bridge between digital technology and science. We help drive medical innovation and are integral to the realization of truly Personalized Healthcare and the development of innovative treatments for our patients.
Digital tools, such as smartphones or wearables, can now continually measure and collect vital health information - or "Digital Biomarkers" - from patients. Digital Biomarkers are changing how future medicines will be developed and could lead to more personalized use of new medications that will transform the lives of patients. Advances in wearable devices, such as phones, watches, textiles or delivery devices, which track a patient's vital signs and monitor for symptoms, all have the potential to vastly accelerate clinical development.
Digital Biomarker studies are enabled by complex data collection and processing ecosystems comprising mobile applications, wearables, sensors, data lakes, data processing pipelines, analytics platforms, databases, device lifecycle management solutions etc. Currently, the use of digital biomarkers across clinical development programs is expanding significantly - generating terabytes of sensor/tracking data from dozens of studies and 10'000s of patients across global studies.
Within Digital Biomarkers at Roche, we are seeking future-thinking innovators - digital technology and science specialists who can apply their expertise to transform some of the most challenging health conditions today.

Role:
* Designing and maintaining components in the scalable, modular Remote Patient Monitoring Platform (RPMP) architecture comprising data lakes, data processing pipelines, analytics platforms, databases, device lifecycle management solutions etc.
* Leading the integration of the RPMP into study specific technical ecosystems enabling end-to-end data capture and processing
* Leading software development teams and overseeing the development, maintenance and life-cycle management of RPMP applications
* Collaborating closely with Mobile Solutions Architects, Cloud/Backend Architects, Data Analysts, Clinical Study Managers and Lifecycle Managers to ensure that the RPMP provides end-to-end support of digital biomarker studies
* Working with Software Product Owners to define and maintain study specific technical software development roadmaps and plans.
