Front-end Architect – MunichI am currently recruiting for a large German eCommerce company based in Munich. They are looking for a Front-end Architect to assist them on a contract basis. The main technical focus with this is on experience with React, Angular, JavaScript and VUE.
This is an opportunity for an English speaker and there is no requirement for German language, if you are German or can speak German this is a plus but not needed as it is an English speaking project.
Front-end Architect – Munich
Start: Latest January
Location: Munich (Onsite work required, max 20-40% remote)
Duration: 6 Months initial
Tech Stack: React, Angular, JavaScript, Vue
Tasks include:
• Close collaboration with the Domain Architect and development teams to identify the best architectural ideas for enabling the autonomous teams to work independently on different parts of the existing online shop
• Assess the current state of our applications and propose a strategy for modernising the technical stack
• Help the teams and product owners to create a technical roadmap to implement the required changes
• Support and drive the front-end migration and support teams with implementing the proposed solutions
• Mentor the front-end engineers by demonstrating best practices and pointing out pitfalls
• Working on UI orchestration and building architecture connecting front-end and back-end
Skills:
• Several years of project experience as a front-end developer/engineer
• Understanding of eCommerce environment/projects
• A high level of expertise and a proven track record of delivering responsive, interactive and accessible websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and the latest tools and development frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, NodeJS, Gulp, Grunt, Sass, Less etc.)
• Experienced in organizing and building consistent UI modules, working closely with the UX, front-end and back-end engineers
• A quality-driven mindset, ability to deliver highly available, highly reliable, scalable products
• Experience with test automation, continuous integration / delivery and with core build, package and deployment tools like NPM, Git, Jenkins etc.
• Experience with SEO optimization and its implications with regard to latest front-end technologies
