I am working with a global brand on a digital transformation project. I have an urgent requirement for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer on an initial 6 month project. The project is likely to be extended.Role: Senior Azure Cloud Engineer
Length: 6 month contract (quite likely to extend)
Location: Berlin, Germany (20% remote work)
Travel: Occasional travel to Amsterdam and Stockholm
Start Date: Early July ideally
Description:
The successful candidate will assist a digital transformation moving on-premise applications to Azure Cloud.
The candidate will have extensive experience working with medium to large enterprise organizations. They will be able to articulate the requirements, aims, and objectives that define a successful migration of on-premise technologies and applications in to an Azure cloud setting.
Knowledge of mainstream Microsoft technologies is required in terms of:
• Configuration in Azure
• Engagement with Application Lifecycle Management through multiple environments
• An understanding of the implementation and configuration of Microsoft data technologies.
Technologies:
The successful candidate will be experienced in the following technologies:
Vital:
• Azure Identity and Security
• Azure Resource Management with ARM Scripting
• Azure Microsoft SQL Technologies PaaS/IaaS
• Oracle Database technologies
• Azure DevOps
Desirable:
• Understanding of .Net Development and configuration
• Linux
Nice to have:
• Azure Kubernetes
• AIX
Skills:
Must have:
• A proficient level of spoken and written English language.
• Azure Resource Management expertise supported by scripted deployment
• Proven experience of Microsoft SQL administration in Azure with deployment, configuration and operational management abilities.
• Good knowledge and experience of working with large Agile project teams
• A good working knowledge of Azure DevOps for repository and Agile project collaboration.
• A good working knowledge of Oracle Database technologies to support transformation to Microsoft SQL.
Should have:
• DBA skills with Oracle technologies in terms of operational management and security
Nice to have:
• German, Swedish or Dutch fluency
