Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the full delivery life cycle from customer requirements to customer acceptance for test systems for satellite power-subsystems.
- Responsibility for the solution architecture and maintaining it up to date and in-line with the solution definition (as given by product line manager) and as required by project specific requirements.
- Responsibility for implementation of a harmonized and optimized solution architecture as common basis for project specific adaptations. The system design currently consists of standard industry components, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment and our own components, products & software. You will support the migration towards future competitive solutions.
- You will support the product line manager in the definition of the solution road map.
- Cooperation with the SW architect who is responsible for the definition of the base SW architecture of these power test systems.
- You will manage the project specific requirements and define necessary adaptations to the base architecture.
- Support for pre-sales & offer elaboration (preliminary high level designs, efforts, costs, offer documentation)
- Support selection and procurement of COTS equipment needed for project specific components.
- Contribute to the implementation of project specific solutions (eg design, coding, system test, documentation etc.)
- Team lead and resource management of assigned team members.
- Manage international internal stakeholders (delivery, business unit, sales, pre-sales)
- Manage international external stakeholders (customer, suppliers, subcontractors, partners)
- Adherence to relevant industry quality standards for design, development and manufacturing.
The Candidate
Expert Know-how:
- Profound HW and SW know-how of related power test systems for power subsystems.
- Reasonable knowledge of power electronics and switched power supplies.
- Integration concepts of comparable industry grade solutions (test systems for space or avionics)
- Knowledge of state of the art industry measurement devices Agilent/Keysight, R&S, etc.) including related measurement command interfaces, eg SCPI
- Measurement techniques in general (signal generator, signal analyzer, oscilloscope, ) Test automation - principles, best practices.
- At least one of the following SW languages: C, C++, Java, etc. as well as Linux and bash scripts
- Beneficial: various communication protocols: TCP and UDP including satellite specific protocols like eg PUS, ECSS, EDEN, HLP etc.
- English (min. level C1)
Professional Experience:
- Several years of related industry experience, preferably in the space or aviation domain.
- Proven experience as system/solution architect for related industry solutions.
- Optimally experience with Satellite Test-Systems (Electrical Ground Support Equipment, Special Check-Out Equipment, Central Check-Out System,..) or related test systems for electrical power subsystems.
