Scrum Master

Location: Vienna

Start: May 2018

Duration: (+extension)

For our client a well known international bank in Vienna, we are looking for an experienced Scrum Master for adaptive Scrum Teams. They aim to scale up and broaden already proved agile practices and to establish more sustainable agile teams.

Skills:

  • Scrum Master certification
  • Experience of acting in the Scrum Master role for at least 2 years
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency
  • Excellent Knowledge of Scrum methodology
  • Knowledge of other agile approaches: KANBAN, XP, DevOps, etc.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Experience applying agile techniques like: User Stories, Story Points, Continuous Integration, test automation, Impact Map, etc.

Role:

  • Guiding the team and Product Owner on how to use Scrum practices and values
  • Guiding the team to become a self-organizing team
  • Coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
  • Removing impediments and guiding the team and Product Owner to remove impediments by addressing the right people
  • Build a trusted and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame
  • Facilitating getting the work done
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency and actively share information
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the Product Backlog
  • Act in close alignment with the Agile Coach for the respective adaptive setting
  • Facilitate the Planning/Review/Retrospective Meetings
  • Ensure transparency of the team performance to in- and outside using the Burndown Charts and other reporting tools
