Java Software Engineer

Scope of Work: 5 Days a Week - 120 MDs
For our client an international bank in Vienna, we are looking for a Java Software Engineer (MIFID II) to start in July 2017.
Role Profile
- Your commitment to develop professional application software for the finance industry
- in an international environment
- Writing well designed, documented and testable Java code
- Unit testing of the developed software components
- Assist the Software Architect in designing the software solution
- Work in close cooperation with the Software Architect, Test Engineer and Business
- Analyst
- Write technical documentation
Skills
- Adequate technical education (Technical School or suitable University degree)
- 4 5 years professional experience in SW development
- Excellent Java programming skills (Java 8) (Gradle, Apache Velocity as a plus)
- SQL- and database know-how (preferable Oracle)
- Working knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns
- Agile mind-set (Scrum)
- Experience in finance & banking area is a plus
Soft Skills
- Pro-active attitude and team orientation
- Excellent communication skills
- Very good command of English (mandatory)
- German is a plus
