For our customer F. Hoffman La Roche in Basel we are looking for a Professional Laboratory Technician
Background:
The position on offer is located in Analytical Development Synthetic Molecules within Pharma Technical Development.
MMDCAM is a group of approx. 160 highly-skilled and well-trained people, whose key expertise is the application of innovative analytical science and technologies to a synthetic molecule portfolio of projects from GLP tox. studies over all clinical phases to commercialization.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Analytical Development Synthetic Molecules is responsible for the development of resource and cost efficient analytical methods using state of the art methodologies such as e.g. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Ion Chromatography (IC), Mass Spectrometry (MS), and others. The ultimate goal of our work is a robust control strategy to release products for clinical trials, and finally for commercial supply.
Your main responsibility is to cover all analytical lab aspects during the project development life cycle. In order to achieve the goal you will work in close collaboration with other associates, scientists, cross-functional partners from e.g. process development/material sciences and manufacturing. You will plan your experiments independently or/and in collaboration with the relevant team members, analytical project lead and your supervisor. The documentation of results will enable utilization of the corresponding data in regulatory filings and therefore require good scientific writing style.
In this position, you will work from end-to-end (from entry into human to launch) and from raw material to final drug product.
Must have:
- Lab technician with experience on professional or senior level (min. 5 years)
- Professional background in analytical development of synthetic molecules and experience with drug substance- and drug product related matters from pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong quality mind-set and excellent attention to details
- Excellent knowledge of how to exert GMP requirements in different clinical phases.

- Very good communication skills
- Team player
- Excellent skills in German (speaking and writing)
- Good skills in English is a must have (French is an advantage)
- Honesty and transparency
- High resilience, no routine work
Working time:
08:00am to 12:00pm and 01:00pm to 05:00pm
