For a permanent role at our client's site, based in Zurich we are looking for a
Senior Non-Life Reserving Actuary - Switzerland (80-100%)
Your Qualifications:
- 3+ years of non-life insurance experience as a fully-qualified Actuary
- Completed Master Degree in Mathematics or related field
- Expert knowledge of Excel, VBA, and Access
- Reserving experience will be an advantage
- Ability to work independently and apply critical thinking
- Well versed in prioritize and deliver quality work under time pressure
- Fluent in German and English
Your Responsibilities:
- Review, lead and perform actuarial analysis including the valuation of technical claims provisions
- Lead the quarterly reserving financial close, and prepare the quarterly actuarial reserve reports to the regional chief actuary and Swiss CFO
- Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure the adequacy of the balance sheet and profit and loss, and to complete regulatory submissions
- Ensure that quality, processes and standards are consistent with internal actuarial policies and guidance as well as existing regulations
- Lead partnering with other business functions including pricing, underwriting and claims, by providing insights into performance and implications for the business
