Role:. To work as part of a global DBA team to support a 24x7 high volume financial transaction RDS PostgreSQL 10.6 database
Duties:
. To perform typical PostgreSQL database maintenance tasks
. To react to error messages, identify bottlenecks, and provide solutions
. To communicate clearly with global teams
The ideal candidate should exhibit the following experience:
. Evidence of PostgreSQL Database Administration with in-depth understanding of WAL, MVCC, replication, backups, failover, and performance tuning
. Evidence of AWS Administration tools such as Cloudwatch, RDS, Lambda, etc
. Evidence of any shell scripting languages such as ksh, bash, perl, etc
Nice to have skills:
. Confluence, DataDog, Git, Jira
Hours:
. Some shift required may be required in order to provide handover to global teams based in USA/China/India.
