For our client in Essen we are currently looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer

Volume: fulltime
Location: Essen Additional Sites: Budapest, Hungary (5% travelling)
Language: German, English (both fluent in spoken and written)
Background: The next steps embrace the evaluation of the applicability of the lessons learnt from the demonstration site to other sites within the European energy system landscape, further the identification of new demonstration sites and the support of internal operational units for system integration. Therefore, new assessment models are developed to examine the technical and economic potential of new, innovative technologies for local balancing while local specifications and electric grid constraints shall be considered. Developed models to identify and create a pipeline of promising projects, in which these innovative technologies will be implemented and assessed. Together with internal regional units and external suppliers, the potential for commercial projects will be evaluated based on practical experience gained from the identified demonstrations to support the launch of new products and services in the area of decentral energy systems.

Tasks
- Techn. Engineering evaluation and assessment of energy system s core technologies such as electrical storage systems, renewable energy generation systems, control systems.
- Responsible for the coordination and project management of development works in the area of energy system techno-economic modelling.
- Scoping technical and commercial requirements to support the launch of new products/services in the area of energy systems.
- Support the development of models, business case, market assessments, investment proposals to support project delivery and development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners/suppliers.

Skills:
- Degree level Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
- PM Qualification/experience
- Energy system modelling experience (technical and economic)
- Knowledge of energy systems (electrical and thermal)
- Seeks opportunities to leverage exp. across technologies, business units and international boundaries
- Communication skills to all levels in the client organisation as well as externally
- Pro-active and creative approach
- Ability to make decisions and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to operate effectively within an international, highly flexible, multidisciplinary team structure
- Strong awareness and understanding of policy issues, with ability to propose improvements and influence stakeholders both inside and outside of client
N2H:
- Practical energy network (thermal/ electrical) system experience - from a specification and integration perspective
- Knowledge and Understanding of Engineering reqs
- Knowledge of DNO reqs and regulations fof connecting systems (networks)

- Data science Basic knowledge
