Instrument Control & Liquid Handling
Built production software for liquid handling robots and PCR instruments. Deep expertise in pipetting with error recovery, cross-contamination prevention, consumable transfers (grippers, belts), washing subsystems, and instrument teaching/calibration for pipettors and multi-axis grippers.
Lab Orchestration & Digital Twin
Leading development of Lab AI Studio - a platform that auto-discovers instruments via SiLA2, enables digital twin creation, and provides a visual workspace for designing, simulating, and executing protocols. An integrated AI assistant generates complete workflows from natural language prompts.
Open Source & Standards
Maintainer of openapi-to-sila2 (open source), enabling rapid SiLA2 adoption from existing APIs. Creator of sila2-mcp - a product for creating and evaluating MCP servers for lab instruments in minutes.

Projekthistorie
- Developed functionality across control software for cobas 68/8800 instruments (20+ units)
- Contributed to an event-driven communication library for RabbitMQ
- Lead development of few Rust libraries for low-level communication with hardware devices
- Implemented multiple features for liquid handling (aspiration/dispensation/calibration)
- Implemented functionality to transfer consumables across the instrument using different handlers
- Implemented multiple error handling with compensation actions for different scenarios
- Extended instrument simulator with new functionality enabling considerable test coverage
Technologies used: C++, Rust(tokio, serde), RabbitMQ, Podman, k8s
Working as a C++ developer on an IoT SDK(XaltEdge), my main responsibility and accomplishment was development of a gRPC service, which allows to run the SDK as microservice on Linux and Windows platforms.
Working on a real-time distributed system, for virtual ads insertion in broadcast feeds. Being part of Visual Computing group, my main accomplishment was development of a C++ module, to support wide camera motion in tone mapping algorithms.
